In honor of this date’s historical significance, I found a batch of buttons online. It was August 8, 1974, when Nixon told the country he was resigning the office of the presidency. He left the White House the following day and Gerald Ford was sworn in as the thirty-eighth president of the United States.
I saw most of Frost/Nixon when it was playing one night. That was a really good movie.
I keep meaning to rent that.

I actually have some Nixon buttons, including one still somewhat attached to the cellophane wrapper of a bubblegum cigar.
