Have I reminded you lately that READING IS HOT!?

Gary reading Someone Like You.

Gary deeply into New Orleans Noir.

Greg looking a little stern about SOMEONE LIKE YOU. I’m hoping that doesn’t mean he found a mistake.

Speaking of mistakes, Tim and I are REALLY pleased with the galleys from MOONLIGHT AND ROSES because of a keen-eyed copy editor. However, as we’ve been sitting side by side looking everything over, we keep finding ourselves stopping to read aloud great lines from some VERY good writers. I so admire the authors in this collection.

Remember, if you send me photos of you reading ANY GLBT book–it’ll go right here on my LiveJournal. Thanks!

  1. Becky: Thanks for reminding me that reading is hot! I may have some hot readers to post to my blog soon (…if I can get my friend Carrie to send me the digital photos she took at Borders last Thursday.)

I am SO looking forward to MOONLIGHT AND ROSES! Can’t wait. 🙂

  2. I can’t believe I made the same post as Greg. WOW =0) Although, there IS only one pic of him… and you know what happened last time you did that. LOL

    1. I think Greg should send me some photos of himself reading books that haven’t yet been featured here, like Poppy’s SOUL KITCHEN or D*U*C*K. (Major hint.)

  3. I think Greg looks stren because someone interrupted him while he was reading! I know I give them a LOOK when they bother me while I am reading.

  4. Reading is HOT. I love the photos, too. I think that we could do a neat little motivational book with all your pictures, Becky. I know I want to read when I see others reading. 😀

  5. That is a really good idea … different Authors reading their favorite books, you could do a little Playboy bio

Turn Ons: A Coventry Christmas, Someone Like You, Murder on Rue Dauphine

    Turn Offs: A Separate Peace

      1. Oh there is only one book that I hate more, it’s Return of The Native. When my favorite teacher Mrs Flynn asked me about Eustacia Vye I said “this book is really boring.” and it nearly got me kicked out of class. I also hated Silas Freakin’ Marner too but thats third on my BOOKS MARIKA HATES list

        1. Return of the Native… Thomas Hardy, right? I hated Typee by Melville. I had a seminar in Hawthorne, Poe and Melville in grad school. Until then, I didn’t think one person could write TWO books that tedious and boring. I did enjoy Billy Budd, though.

BTW, I already can’t wait to mee yo at next year’s S&S. Shannon speaks very highly of you. She and Iare lunching tomorrow.
