Oh, well, um…

….that last post is what happens when I stay up all night brooding and trying to remember where I put that damn cauldron and eye of newt…

Thank you for all your comments; you’re the people who make my life sing, truly, along with one other group that I forgot to mention. And that’s the friends who DO get it, who DO help me carve out pieces of time to write, who keep inviting me and including me and calling me even after all the times I say no. I have said before that I have the best friends on the planet, and it’s true. You know who you are, those of you who give me your time and understanding and chocolate and sometimes even your money (so I can do things like go to the Lammys) and who take care of some of the people that I neglect like Tom and “that old woman.”

(And don’t worry, Kathleen, because what I’m really hoping is that by publishing that picture, I’ll SHAME myself into finishing the Christmas stuff early by making myself publicly accountable!)

Rather than addressing every comment individually, here’s a BIG THANK YOU to all of you because you’re the shiny people. =)

And my sister has a new computer–HOORAY!

Happy Cinco de Mayo.

  1. I want to give you my money…I do. I am just waiting for that Master Piece you are painting for my kitchen wall. 😉

And woman, you deserve these wonderful friends you have. Mostly because you are special and touch everyone’s lives just because of who you are as a person. Ask anyone.

  2. And my sister has a new computer–HOORAY!

I love my eMac, and I had to buy it when I did in 04 since my other computer was terminally ill. However: I wish they would have had the new Macs out at that time where you could run PC programs on them too as you can with the new ones. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about whether software is compatible! Argh!

Yes! Human beings are social animals and we need each other in order to be happy and productive. Whatever accomplishments I have in my life, I couldn’t have done so without the support of my family and friends.

  3. what I think is this… because I know you are dying to know, I think that if you can write “funny” ( and you can ) you really have a gift, a special one, if you can make people laugh … well, there really isn’t a better thing in the world. And people who sneer at that are ultimately jealous, not everyone can do it. And writing about love and laughter in a world that is so very often lacking in both is a good thing. I loved Coventry especially, and not because I “know” you — but because it was witty and charming and fun… so screw the rest

  4. Don’t sweat the cauldron, I have an extra and I’m pretty sure I have extra eye of newt and the all important cinnamon bat wings, after all you must disguise the taste, right? how else will they drink it without making that funny face and getting suspicious?? I’ll mail those out today.
