Psyched!

Back when Timmy was writing with us, whenever Kensington sent us anything, he always got it first because he was in New York. Then a day or so later, Tim and I would get our mail, and Jim, in California, would always trail behind us by a day or two.

This meant Timmy was usually the one who saw a cover first or got a contract or a royalty check first, and we would torment him for every detail.

Today, in a strange reversal, JIM GOT SOMETHING FIRST. And it was something I was desperate to see, so I harangued him until he agreed to scan it. Then his scanner wasn’t working. So, in spite of what he says about having a lump of coal where his heart should be, he took a photo of it and sent it to Tim and me.

And now I share it with you, because I LOVE IT. Really love it. THANK YOU, Jim! And thank you, John and Kensington.

Under the title, it says, Life has a way of finding you–even when you’re invisible…

When we get our copies, Tim and/or I will post a better scan–with the back cover. And once our loyal TJB readers see the cover copy, the mystery of the narrator will be solved.

    1. It is different, which is just right. It’s a different kind of novel. Some people won’t like it, and others will think we’ve finally done something right. All that matters to me is that we wrote true to the character we created.

  1. The cover does look wonderful. September? Sheesh! does it take that long to print it and ship it?
I hope it tops the NY Times Best Seller list and is an Oprah Book Club selection! (then Tim can quit doing the Agador Spartacus gig..no wait, he LOVES doing that job.)

    Congrats on a GREAT Cover!

    1. Thanks! It’s usually about a year from acceptance to publication. For this one, however, it’s been about a year and a half. Publishing is not for those who like immediate gratification–trust me, it’s a hard career for an impatient Aries like me.

  2. This is a gorgeous cover, and if I wasn’t already a huge fan, I would buy this book based on the cover alone (I tend to do that). It’s now my favorite of the TJB covers — congrats!
