Back when Timmy was writing with us, whenever Kensington sent us anything, he always got it first because he was in New York. Then a day or so later, Tim and I would get our mail, and Jim, in California, would always trail behind us by a day or two.
This meant Timmy was usually the one who saw a cover first or got a contract or a royalty check first, and we would torment him for every detail.
Today, in a strange reversal, JIM GOT SOMETHING FIRST. And it was something I was desperate to see, so I harangued him until he agreed to scan it. Then his scanner wasn’t working. So, in spite of what he says about having a lump of coal where his heart should be, he took a photo of it and sent it to Tim and me.
And now I share it with you, because I LOVE IT. Really love it. THANK YOU, Jim! And thank you, John and Kensington.
Under the title, it says, Life has a way of finding you–even when you’re invisible…
When we get our copies, Tim and/or I will post a better scan–with the back cover. And once our loyal TJB readers see the cover copy, the mystery of the narrator will be solved.
Wow! What a great cover!
Thank you. I really think it captures the mood of the book. I am looking forward to sharing the cover copy.
That looks terrific! can’t wait. When it is hitting the shelves again?
Thanks! I think the release is September 25.
Ooooooh! Great cover! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thanks! I mean, I had nothing to do with the cover, but still… Thanks!
I love it. First off the guy is HOT, but secondly, the wall really makes an interesting detail. Nice color too.
I can’t wait to read the new book.
These nine months will race by. Dammit.
Getting
oldto be thirty-five again is tough.Very nice, which we both know is not always the case with covers in the world of Gay themed literature. Very nice.
I know. I always await our covers with fear. I think this might be my new favorite, though.
Wow! Nice cover! At first I thought Tim got a new haircut….
You know there’s only ONE thing missing from this cover, right? 😉
Wow, that’s fantastic. And so different from your other covers. Can’t wait to read it!
It is different, which is just right. It’s a different kind of novel. Some people won’t like it, and others will think we’ve finally done something right. All that matters to me is that we wrote true to the character we created.
Very nice. Much improved since the cover with the lecherous guy on it (It Had To Be You).
Haaa. I’d forgotten how much that guy’s expression annoyed you.
Wow…fantastic cover!
Yay! I was hoping you and Lindsey would approve, since….oh, no, I’ve said too much again! 😉
The cover does look wonderful. September? Sheesh! does it take that long to print it and ship it?
I hope it tops the NY Times Best Seller list and is an Oprah Book Club selection! (then Tim can quit doing the Agador Spartacus gig..no wait, he LOVES doing that job.)
Congrats on a GREAT Cover!
Thanks! It’s usually about a year from acceptance to publication. For this one, however, it’s been about a year and a half. Publishing is not for those who like immediate gratification–trust me, it’s a hard career for an impatient Aries like me.
Awww. A new baby book 🙂
Well… it WILL be here in nine months…
And it has a pretty cover 🙂
WOW!! Great cover… and I love that quote under the title!!! Ky Gary
Thanks, Gary. I’m excited.
That’s a beautiful cover. Happy for you guys. Oh, wow!
Thank you. =)
This is a gorgeous cover, and if I wasn’t already a huge fan, I would buy this book based on the cover alone (I tend to do that). It’s now my favorite of the TJB covers — congrats!
Thanks, Joel, and welcome back!
