San Diego Boy Gone Wild!

Thank goodness I can live vicariously through my friends. Steve recently went to an undisclosed location in Idaho near Sun Valley to elk-gaze. He said I could share these photos of elk in the wild. I asked if they smelled, and he said it was too cold to know. Since he’s from the city with the best weather in the country, I think twenty-degrees caused a huge shock to his system.

Beautiful landscape, magnificent animals. If they make you want to shoot something other than a camera, please don’t tell me, okay?

  1. i’m not one to usually say how beautiful animals in the wild are, but something about these photos are beautiful. the first one i’m esp. all about. 🙂

    1. I don’t know. I mean, he’s got a lovely spirit, that Steve, but maybe these elk are just used to people? He did say they were in the wild, however. I know not the ways of elk…

  2. Beautiful photos, Becky. Thanks for posting them. It looks so calm & magical there. I’d love to just step into these photos and BE in that place awhile.

  3. When I was in Oregon I got stuck in one of those roadblocks and was right at the front of the line, so I got chatting to the guy who wields the signs. He told me to watch out for elk a little further down, and there they were. It was so magical 🙂
