A little something for Mark

Mark, because I’m dorky, I did some screen captures for you.

I wasn’t sure WHICH mannequin you meant, so I caught both of these shots from PW.

And here’s the Nordstrom mannequin from 2003:

    1. I did it myself. It was actually rather comic. I made myself think of this scene, but it’s one of those things that was better in the moment than if I explained it.

      1. I’m not good at posting YouTube in comments, but if I were, I’d post a clip of those guys’ faces running down their skulls, from the end of the movie. My brother reminds me of that scene, everytime he eats something that doesn’t agree with him, or agree with the room.

          1. YouTube in comments? It’s exactly like YouTube anywhere. When you’re watching your YouTube video, to the right are usually two boxes. One is the url code for a link, the other is code for embedding the video. If embedding hasn’t been disabled, you copy the code for embedding it and paste it into the comment box.

If you only want to do a link, you begin with the < sign, then type a href= then quotation marks, then the code you copied from the YouTube url box, then quotation marks, then the > symbol.

            1. I found a Raiders clip, but I forgot how gruesome that scene is. Here’s my second attempt (ever!) to post a video in comments. It’s “Titanic” in 5 seconds:

(While we’re on the mannequin subject, did the opening credits of That Girl freak you out, when that mannequin with Marlo’s face winks at the real Marlo? I was too young to understand it [and still don’t get it], but I thought she was trapped in that window, unable to move.)

              1. Success for you! I don’t think the Marlo thing freaked me out. I knew it was her imagination. Plus Mannequin Marlo looks so perky, she can’t feel trapped. I think Kite Marlo is creepier.

                1. Oh well, that’s delightful! What was I so afraid of, back then??? It’s been decades since I saw this. I love her little Chanel knock-off, and the purple number with matching parasol. Thanks for posting this!

I don’t know. I’m still creeped out by the Pillsbury Doughboy. I even HAD a stuffed Pillsbury Doughboy, but that didn’t stop the commercials from making me shudder.

Her purple number makes me happy. =)

                    And you’re welcome.
