The scrap yard

I’m constantly screen capping things on my phone as I wander through social media, and then every few weeks I wonder why I have so many freaking photos on my phone. But then I don’t really want to delete them because they spoke to me in a moment for a reason.

Here are a few of them to get them off my phone and into the scrap yard that is part of the service to my brain this blog provides.

Who knows. You may be having a moment, too.

  1. That first black and white one just undid the crap in my head this morning that kept me from wanting to face the day but wouldn’t shut up and let me try the impossible and let me peacefully sleep in past 5 AM.

Ironically, this weekend is devoted to an enormous amount of playing records, which, after the Air Conditioner was fixed, I spent ALL THE DAMN DAY blasting 80’s various artists albums inside my apartment all alone. I’m even wearing my black vinyl printed Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirt to confess to this world that not only BLM, but also I play records (and CDs). But, that crap in my head just very nearly stopped me from day 2 after eating out for breakfast.

I will always be with you…
Put the needle on the record

    1. I’m all about the message that woman holding the white board, by the way. So, a blasting records weekend it is. The innocent apartment neighbors are just going to have to hear it all through those “walls” in true social distancing fashion (which could just go take a hike as well for all I care)

      1. Rock on.

Listening to music and writing have been either healing or a diversion from people lost during the pandemic. The animals and people I worked with who had given me a sense of purpose and pride before I was laid off. Friends who died. People who chose to end their relationships with me for reasons of their own.

It’s an ongoing struggle in strange times.

    2. Some days things just hit a certain way, and even when that day passes, it can be helpful to remember the message. I guess that’s why I keep screen capping stuff.

And art and some of the photos of people I miss–bittersweet.
