What’s up?
I find myself saying, “What’s up, buttercup?” to the dogs almost constantly. They never answer, of course. 😉
Actually, I only say that when I answer the phone and caller ID lets me know who’s calling.
I think it depends who I’m talking to.
I actually have two. The first, “gravity works”, is intended to be an empathetic expression whenever someone accidently drops something. Humor to relieve embarrassment.
The second is “Everything is connected”, a mantra I used frequently as a science teacher and still bring out of my sayings pocket as needed. What is done to this affects that and what is done to that ripples back to an unknown number of other things out there. “The web of life…”
