    There is a scene in the classic doctor who (4th doctor, Tom Baker) where The Doctor time-loops the Universe and he says, “Just imagine, someone has just slipped on a banana skin and will be forever wondering when he’ll hit the ground.”

    (Somehow I’m sure that wasn’t what this poem was referring to though.)

    Anyway, that apple butter goddess just put me in the mood for a dark chocolate and peanut butter sandwich.

    I don’t want to discourage you from watching the whole series, but the classic era started in the 60’s around the time of Kennedy’s assassination. I’ve got most of stories on DVD, about 250, some are DVD conversions of VHS recordings of PBS airwaves, complete with signal noise. But those are slowly being released on DVD…

    Classic-wise, a good one to start off with is “The Five Doctors” (that’s how I got started) or right at the beginning with “An Unearthly Child” …
