30 Days of Creativity: Day 12

Today I’ve mostly unplugged so I can do a bit of catching up. Clearly I’m not quite myself, as I actually turned on the TV to watch a little of the soccer match between the USA and England. This is the kind of craziness the Internet incites in me.

I have been working on a sketch that may never be finished because it’s annoying the fire out of me. Sometimes the creative spirit is willing, but the skill is weak.

For 30 Days of Creativity.

    1. Well, thank you very much! The problem is that I’m drawing someone in particular, and the drawing refuses to look like him! ARGH!

  1. Soccer fans or Gay fans

If you have ever been to Dupont Circle in D.C., you might know that that circle is popular for protests and snowball fights.

Soccer? WOW. There were Two massive video screens and the entire circle covered with somewhat drunk soccer fans chanting (witches, rites, dances, etc.) to try to appease the soccer gods (Ok, the gam didn’t actually start yet and not for a few hours….)

Being that it was over 90 degrees there, one would imagine all those hot guys with shirts off, until the game ended and the DC Pride Parade came by.

Then at least they were already dressed appropriately. Has D.C.’s Pride parade always been late afternoon? In Houston, it’s a night parade because of the heat.

Dupont’s parade starts around 6:30 PM, but this time it went on into 9 PM! I think they started it later than usual or maybe the crowd was getting in the way for all of the floats on trucks to go by. It was dark before it ended, which was a first for me at that parade. I think they were accommodating the soccer event in the circle, in case the game went into overtime or something.

      1. Re: Sketch

        Oh no!

(I would hope that the subject/model/person does actually blink from time-to-time 🙂 .)

You could put another sketch nearby it and they could have staring contests

        1. I either have–or someone has–a sketch my father did, either a self-portrait or of someone else–that makes me think the same thing. I’ll have to see if that sketch is in my possession. Several pieces have fallen into the hands of one of my treacherous siblings. (I’m saying that tongue-in-cheek, btw.)
