In honor of today being my late father’s birthday, and because his artistic talent, steadfast nature, and integrity remain inspirational to me, I’ve put four new paintings on my One Word Art site.
I know that you have a lot of special memories of your Dad, and I’m sure that they inspired you today …
I do have a question about one word art though, what comes first – the word or the painting … Do you think of the word and let that shape the painting, or do you paint and let the word come to you?
I must note that I didn’t do all those paintings in one day. I just posted them all on the 16th in his honor.
Painting first; verb later. Sometimes it takes a while for me to figure out what action a painting conveys, and sometimes I know immediately.
