Random Shots

Not feeling so great. In fact, feeling really wretched. I went through some of my recent photos and thought I’d provide a few random shots.

There’s something new at The Compound, and for once it’s not a dog.

Tim’s pretty D60 sandwiched between my D40 and Lindsey’s D80. I asked Lindsey to remove her ginormous lens from her camera because it looked like the D80 was just showing off in front of the other cameras.

  1. GET WELL, THAT’S THE DOCTOR’S ORDER

Late summer is the worst time to catch something, because you always feel worse. I’ve had snuffles for the past week myself, and Mlle Renee can’t figure out why I get tired of playing with her.

Loved the random shots, but I have one question. Where do birds in the south fly in the fall?

Those birds who don’t go to even warmer places stay put through our mild winters and hang out with the Yankee birds.

Did you know that the bald eagles only migrate as far south as Saint Louis? They winter on the bluffs along the Mississippi where the Missouri River joins it. And every February when they’re at their peak activity people flock to watch them.

    1. Thank you! A house full of dogs is a happy house, even when it’s noisy and messy. (Pixie is a toy spreader. One of our games–strangely, we BOTH enjoy it–is my picking up all the toys and returning them to the toy box so she can pull them out and scatter them again.)

  2. I like the Peace sign at the end…. and I don’t think I’ve ever seen 3 dogs together that looked so alike 🙂

Hope you feel better soon. I absolutely hate being sick in the summer.

  3. You sure you’re getting enough green veggies? 😉

Seriously, hope you’re better soon. Let us know if we need to do a Ninja Lesbian drive-by with some Chicken Soup!

    1. Peer pressure. Not only were several of the good photographers in my life Nikonites, but I knew we could exchange lenses with one another and they could teach me things about my camera.

My film SLR is a Canon. If its lenses weren’t made in the years before Canon’s lenses could fit on digital SLRs, I’d be a Canon owner today.
