Hump Day Happy

It’s back! I listened to the three or five hordes of people who missed HDH the last two weeks, so here we are.

Poor flat-footed Barbie. My intention to cobble her some shoes hasn’t yet found a way into my schedule. Still, she has something to be happy about: this groovy little sofa and pillows I made for her and her friends.

If you respond in comments with a page number between 1 and 611, and another number between 1 and 25, Barbie–or whatever her name ends up being–will flip through 14,000 Things To Be Happy About for you.

As soon as I wake up.

    1. Barbie says, “You’re most welcome.” From the book:

“pitching tents, setting the campfire blazing, and serving spaghetti with meatballs and tossed salad”

      (Don’t forget the wine!)

        1. I’m sure he would happily admire all those who were pitching the tents and building the campfires. Then he’d repay them as they sat down to their uncamplike meal by telling them hysterical stories.

And the campsite owners would have to come tell the group to keep it down.

Suddenly this is all seeming very familiar…

  1. Oh!

Did you adopt your doll from the adoption center known as eBay? I like her! She’s pretty….

I’m happy to see HDH. I didn’t want to pester as I know all about How These Things Happen.
    🙂

May I please have page number 474, number 4, please?

    Hope you slept well!

    1. Yes, she came in a group of dolls I bought for nearly nothing. Her hair changes colors–I can make it bright pink and purple by putting her in the freezer for a few minutes. We discovered this when Lindsey was styling her hair one day and it turned all white from the heat of Lindsey’s hands.

You could never be a “pest!” And thanks, I did sleep well.

      From the book:

      “singing in cars”

  2. Oooh – I adore the pillows! She may have flat feet, but nothing a decent pair of boots won’t cure. It is, you know, all about the boots!

    Page 6, # 3 Thank you!

    1. I know you’re a boots girl! I do have some fabric for cool boots, but I haven’t felt motivated to take on that task yet. Maybe when Project Runway returns. (August 20!)

      From the book:

      “prizes you have won”

    1. And for you:

“South Carolina: stately gardens, white-pillared homes, cotton, wood, wild rice, sweet jasmine”

      For Dashter:

      “10-sided penny-candy jar”
