Besides today being Shakespeare’s designated birthday (Happy birthday, William!) and the date on which my parents celebrated their anniversary until I pointed out the correct date on their marriage certificate (April 24), Lawrence says it’s World Book Day. I LOVE World Book Day! Here at The Compound, we always have a huge party and dance around a stack of books with flower garlands in our hair while grasping streaming ribbons in our joyful hands and singing, “Hey nonny nonny”—

I love that movie. But once, just once, I wish Hero would tell Claudio, “Go to hell, loser jerk. You aren’t worthy.”
Forsooth! I was just sitting here thinking how desperately I want to see that movie again. I don’t know if we own it. If not, I’m betting we will soon.
I love the way this movie opens. It sets me right every time, soothes my nerves, it’s just the greatest. And could Emma look any hotter, with her tanned leg next to those grapes? Wooo… : )

One of those interesting bits of trivia is that Shakespeare also died on 23rd April . . . thus coming full circle.
