Beautiful bird photography

I mentioned this in comments to Joel’s post. At the business where I attended class over the weekend, I noticed this beautiful photograph in their reception area.

Check out photographer Lori Dillon’s other Texas Coast bird photography. I can’t imagine the patience it takes to get such great nature shots.<

  1. good, you should be real impressed with some of my photos then. Like this one that I took on Jekyll Island, Georgia:

I actually have a better one of a blue heron..but I don’t have it on the computer.

  2. THE BLUE BIRD OF HAPPINESS

She does do great bird pictures. However, it’s a good thing she never wanted to photograph the Missouri state bird or she would still be waiting to take the picture.

The red crested bluebird is our state bird and I have never seen one in my entire life. This is true for most residents of the state. Starlings and grackles abound, but the bluebird of happiness seems to have taken flight. It might be because we don’t have the vast prairies where the like to live any more.

  3. Gorgeous! Thanks for posting!

I’m going to try to get a photo of the Bickersons — and will post of I’m able to. (Though considering I have the world’s oldest digital camera, they won’t be anywhere near as gorgeous as these photos).
