Did somebody ask about Ethan Mordden? St. Martin’s is releasing HOW’S YOUR ROMANCE (Concluding the “Buddies” Cycle) in September 2005.

I read Ethan Mordden’s Buddies and I was left slightly confused was it fictional or perhaps a non-fiction protayal of events dramatised that occured in order to arouse the interest of the reader similar to what Edmund White did with A Boy’s Own Story?

Hard to say. It’s classified as fiction, and I’ve always felt as if Mordden is writing about a time and a certain way of being than about actual people. However, he writes characters who are so real that I feel like I know them. I definitely want to know them. And with each book in the Buddies cycle which has been spoken of as the “last one,” I’ve always wanted more because I’m so emotionally invested in his characters.
