Runway Monday: Finale, Part 1 (PR 9:13)

Oh, no. Did you visit here hoping for sneak peeks at my final collection for the season finale of Lifetime’s Project Runway? Until this past Saturday, even I had no idea what I’d be doing.

Then I made a shopping trip after input from Tim Gunn and my original Model Muse, Summer. Some rolls of High Fashion fabric inspired me.

Here are Tim and Summer in my workroom. You won’t see anything on that rack in my final collection. I don’t think. Tune in next week to find out.

Also, Tim and Heidi thought you might enjoy a final look at the twenty-four Model Muses who walked my looks on the runway this season. Beauties, every one, and I hope I gave them more fashion hits than misses.

See you next week on the runway!

That completely adorable 1:6 scale Mood bag and sample fabrics in the top photo are gifts of Mark G. Harris. Thank you, Mark!

I include myself in this, of course. See the bulge in that bottle? In late August, I went out shooting and bought that bottle of water, which I never opened. Upon arriving home, I put it in the freezer and forgot it. I found it the next day, a solid block of ice ready to split the container, and gave it to Tim, who was leaving for a night away. I figured by the time he arrived in Galveston, it would have melted enough for him to drink it.

At least it wasn’t a soft drink–over the years I’ve exploded my share of those in bottles and cans in the freezer. I’ll bet Lynne remembers the night her Sprite shattered in the freezer when we were having a sleepover as ‘tweens. That kind of noise when you’re telling scary stories: NOT FUNNY.

Craft Night but not so much for me

Last night we were able to celebrate The Brides’ fifth wedding anniversary with them. It seems like only yesterday when Tim was The Wedding Bitch and Greg was snubbed.

Meanwhile, Rhonda was the only one who was crafty, although Tim showed us a project he’ll be working on (and that I hope he shares with the Internet when it’s complete). While I bemoaned my lack of a theme for a final collection, the others tossed out ideas, but I managed to dodge them all. I did ask Kathy for her credit card so I could go to High Fashion, and she handed me her wallet! I was honorable and declined it, however. Probably I’m just luring her into a false sense of security, because that’s how I roll.

Remember when people used to say “that’s how I roll” and now they don’t? How great would it be if we could do that same thing to “Kardashian?”
