I have now crossed over to the pink side…
What went out today:
What it will look like in October:
Here is the information from the back cover. It doesn’t bother me that it has several inaccuracies, because it’s close. Kensington could only work with the first three chapters and an outline to come up with it. This is why I hate making outlines, though, because they never match up to the finished novel.
Coventry, Texas–a place where the locals are friendly and snow has been known to fall in December. And this year, Christmas in Coventry promises the most wonderful and magical gift of all–love!
Keelie Cannon is in danger of becoming a Scrooge. Her job at a Houston bookstore is hardly inspiring Christmas cheer–more like a need for double vodka martinis. Her mom, the rock of holiday predictability, is suddenly spending Christmas in Hawaii. So, why not grab her friends, get away from it all, and spend a nice quiet Christmas together in Coventry? It sure beats repeats of How the Grinch Stole Christmas…
Between a fractured ankle, a bawdy grandmother, and Hamlet (Keelie’s suddenly under-the-weather hamster), she and the gang are in for a Christmas that is as unpredictable as it is merry.
And when Coventry’s veterinarian starts making house calls to check on Hamlet, Keelie wonders if this Christmas might bring her what she’s always wanted: true love…
Oh, and to that being who walked right past me and the woman ahead of me at the post office and then proceeded to ignore us as if he hadn’t just cut in line in front of us: I am sleep-deprived, and therefore I didn’t mean to say, “Oh, what it is to walk through the world with a penis.” I meant to say, “Oh, what it is to walk through the world with an over-inflated sense of entitlement because you have a penis.” Because, you know, there are actually penis bearers who have excellent manners–you are simply not one of them.
Oh I am so excited I can barely contain it! I know you’ll let us know when it hits shelves so that Rhon and I can run to Borders at 10:00 on a school night again to pick up one of the first copies!
Of course, because traditions are good things!
Many congrats! I hope it gets distributed in Australia.
oohh! how exciting!
