A little Houston culture

Here in Houston’s Montrose neighborhood is a lovely little bed and breakfast that often hosts social and charitable events, the Lovett Inn. (I love going to parties there!) Recently, it became the Lovett Inn Boutique Hotel. The inn has begun displaying the works of local emerging and established artists.

I learned about the gallery by reading Houston’s fabulous OutSmart Magazine. The August issue also includes AN on the 2006 BookExpo America, which mentions, among others, our editor John (we love him!) and our fellow author and friend Greg Herren.

P.S. Whenever I say I LOVE something, I hear the voice of my friend Denece in my head making fun of me. If you’re reading this, Denece, hush!

  1. Hey! Maybe that is where we will stay when we go to Houston! I am still not sure when. But his company just opened up a place there, and he will have to set up the machines and software for them.

  2. Greg and I got really drunk in montrose one night, which ended in one of our friends trying to pee out the window of the car on the enterstate. I being the lady that I am dropped trou behind the dumpster at Whataburger. I screamed “I can see your butt!” At one of our friends as well.. No wonder HOuston has not invited me back!

    1. My sister and a friend of hers have a similar Montrose story from a day they went, on foot, in quest of the perfect margarita.

I have always behaved with decorum here, as it is my home. Oh, wait, there was that one–

      Never mind.
