Oh my gosh, I love this photo. Exactly the kind of photo that can inspire a dozen short story ideas. (Totally suitable to be opened on any computer in front of anyone of any age and even your boss, I promise, though you might have to scroll to see all its edges.)
But not safe for those who suffer from vertigo. ACK!
I know–I said as much to one of my friends on FB. Joseph O. Holmes, the photographer, said he took it from a window (one of his commenters suggested from the Westin Hotel, and another of his commenters also mentioned vertigo!).
We should write short stories about that. I’m definitely game — gotta get myself motivated to write more.
Me, too.
It’s amazingly difficult to concentrate – there’s so much to focus on. You just think you’ve seen it all and then you spot something new.
I particularly like the line of taxis.
Thanks so much for sharing.
In comments to that photo, I think he said he’d seen the view and decided to photograph it, then got lucky when the line of taxis was there. I always enjoy his photos, and even if there is an element of right place/right time, he’s also very talented.
