I’m sorry, I know I’ve committed to keeping my LJ as drama-free as possible. But there’s something I need to share, confess really, and if it makes you respect me less, then so be it.
I completely and totally respect an artist’s intention with his work, and heaven knows I admire Timothy’s art. So it hasn’t left my mind for days that, in the room that is for my use in his apartment, I hung an unfinished painting of his with no regard for its correct orientation. For NO OTHER REASON than the way it fits better with other paintings on the wall, I hung it sideways.
I’m so ashamed.
As to the painting’s orientation, maybe it was trying
to tell you that it didn’t want to be hung — er —
straight?
So THAT’S what people mean when they say, “Art speaks to me.” 😉
Art never calls. He never writes. Bastard.
Correct orientation is to cover holes in the wall or other unsightly blemishes…
Priceless!!
I recall that saying people always use about art . . . “I know what I like” !!
*pets Timothy*
Well…it’s not like you hung a Rothko upside down. 😉
Heh, I’d LOVE to know if the paintings Tim gifted to us are hung properly… I’m guessing, probably not. 😉
rudeness….someone woke up on the wrong side of her cage this morning.
Blame my keeper.
