If you’ve seen this month’s banner, that’s Guinness looking sad about her worn-out collar. While you’re all trying to find hairstyles for Lindsey and Jandy, why don’t you Google some dog collars and show me what you think would be a good one for Guinness? It must have red in it (her red leash is not worn out). It must be of the nylon variety.
Topic change: I spotted this house in West U yesterday and thought it was photo-worthy.
What a beautiful house – thanks for sharing!
Reminds me of something like the house in “Hansel and Gretel” !! Sure looks good enough to eat, anyway!
Houston doesn’t offer much in the way of tourism, but it does have some stunning residential areas where I never get tired of discovering new (to me) homes.
That is a neat house. Seeing houses like that makes me wonder what kind of house I would have built if I had the moolah.
Have you ever watched episodes of the History Channel’s show “Save Our History”? In it they restore historical building to their original specifications. One they did was Thomas Jefferson’s summer house, and another was (I think) John Adams’ home. Over the years, both homes had sections added on and other related stuff. It was really fascinating seeing the process as they tried to determine was the original design and then restoring it.
I haven’t seen that show, but I’m betting Tim has. He loves looking at historic homes and renovations.
I haven’t seen it, but now I really want to.
I love the banner. Reminds me of Rutlie some how. lol
That house is really neat. I like the angle of the garage to the front door. That is really different. And round windows! Very neat. I was thinking there should be a knight that retired there, with his sweetheart.
Guinness and Rutlie both have that lab thing working. He’s a lot bigger than her, though.
Yeah, I noticed! I figured the border collie would keep him small! Alas, he’s now 81 lbs! My big ole baby is growing up. Can you believe he will be 3 in May?
LOVE the rounded part in the front with the witches hat. so cute!
now, i’m not sure how big of a sports fan that guinness is, but since it’s her home town…

This is one of my favorite sites … I go there to dream, and look for inspiration should I ever right about that idea I was telling you about, this is the site I found her house at
Shriek! Don’t do that to me when I’m writing–send me to a site where I can daydream for hours.
(Don’t worry. Like Arnold, I’ll be back.)
Marika! Thanks for posting that site, I had to bookmark it! I love looking at those old homes.
My grandmother lived in Shaker Heights (Ohio) and there
was a house that looked EXACTLY like this right around
the corner. When I was little I thought it was a castle!
This really brings back memories.
Aw, that makes me happy. =)
You’ve got such an eye for charm. This house is great. : )
Here’s looking at you, kid.
I like the little Juliet balcony on the second floor.
O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
Coincidentally, I was at Petsmart yesterday getting Sugar a dreaded choke chain collar.
