It’s not misty here. The weather is amazing and I wish I could capture it in antique Chanel N° 5 bottles and send it to everyone who’s looking with misery at a snowy, icy, rainy, or gray landscape. Speaking of that, I haven’t been checking out the Old Faithful webcam very often, so I was thrilled today to click on it and find these beasts:
Buffalo roaming.
I’m about to embark on my mini-getaway to do some writing, coffee-drinking with Greg, and writer/chick stuff with Marika. Pray to the Internet gods that I have access, or I will be one cranky bitch.
Writer / chick stuff … HURRAY!
I will have to tell you my “Dances With Wolves” Story which involves my Mamma (the buffalo) It’s classic Kuni
You know, when I saw the buffalo picture; I KNEW the one comment had to be Marika, and that it was the Kuni Dances With Wolves story.
It’s pretty funny …
It’s a toss-up between that one and the one winged dove.
Flew in circles, did it?
And it sang a song, sounds like it’s singing woo-wooo-wooo.
Well, that would explain why that song’s been stuck in my head since this afternoon.
Marika is insidious. One might even say her Star Wars name would be Darth Insidious.
as opposed to Darth Danvers
Better than Jar Jar Danvers.
Oh, if you’re staying in the Quarter, you should be able to pick up the City of New Orleans network…it’s free and called Featherlink, I think.
When you’re staying in hotels that charge for internet service, they have some way of blocking that free network, as Tim and I discovered in the Bourbon Orleans.
But it’s okay. Lynne paid for it and I’m using it now. When I really should be sleeping.
But…but…that’s just evil.
Why didn’t I think of it, is the better question…
I was just thinking (the last time I had a computer) that I hadn’t seen any wildlife on the old faithful web cam yet this winter.
