The Astros are the World Series champions. I did watch the game, but I also took a page from Lynne’s book (literally, as she gave me the journal I was coloring in, and by example, as she’s been coloring while she watched the World Series) and worked on the coloring page I started yesterday. I finished it this morning with the hour the time change returned to us. Writing, coloring, cooking, and cleaning will be my go-to things over the next few days because elections are hard on my nervous system.

And all those crayons live happy and wonderful and peaceful lives in the coloring box, even the broken ones, with those pens and pencils. No one ever sees one cult of crayons going after the others for being ever so slightly different. No one ever sees the pens bleeding on the erasers to start wars that erase pencils out of existence while the crayons wait for their turn to be marched into the furnace.
I’m sorry that a button that I thought held a positive message had such a bleak impact on you.
Well, that’s alright, as I wasn’t in a particularly happy mood at the time anyway. Perhaps it was the scrappy scratches on the button?

As a somewhat broken crayon, I CAN still color. I think recently I have done some of my best writing!
