It’s not the signs you have to fear. It’s the penalty that comes from not following the signs. Like embarrassing your parents, or having to leave without getting to eat the delicious meals everyone ordered. Or perhaps getting a ticket for endangering a protected part of nature.
As a child my Mom would have a hard time keeping me out of that tree
In the wild, any child would want to get in that tree!
At the restaurant, they’d handle it for her. (There are signs forbidding climbing, because of the trees’ great ages.)
