  1. I’ll tell you what I didn’t expect next: The Marshal Fire in Boulder County, CO, which is now about 10 radial miles from my Aunt who is on oxygen due to her health and the first round of covid, and her daughter’s family.

The wind storm was too strong, and there was only an inch of snow so far this winter there. It is thought that downed power lines from the wind storm may be a cause.

But, so far they are alright and the weather is predicting a snow storm soon that may help fight the fire.

    1. Oh, I hope it gets contained soon. I just saw that some of the animal rescue groups I’ve worked with have lost everything. Keep me posted and know your family is in my thoughts.

      1. So far, the fire didn’t move closer, so I’m told my aunt and her daughter’s family are safe. This website gave the updates and a map, but now that it’s fully contained and people are starting to return, it’s more the where to resource.

This weekend though, I was sick from what I think was a bad case of food poisoning. I’m doing better now, though still quite sore and a tickle in my throat.

        1. Glad they’re okay. I guess the snowfall helped contain the fire, too?

Food poisoning SUCKS. Hope you’re even better by the time you read this.

          1. Thanks, and I am better now, except now I’ve got this tickle in my throat so I await the nose swabbing covid test results to be sure three vaccine injections didn’t fail and I can go back into the workplaces again. This is the new year, right? 😉
