Thanks! But, alas, I’m far too isolated, and the reopening was so uncertain that next year had better be a whopping good makeover. Perhaps I will finally find work elsewhere than here in the desert, as well, which would bring happiness too.
So my PRIDE June was spent reading about how others celebrated if they could and how effective the vaccinations are and how they reopened places that could do something. DC; for example, had no ability to predict that DC could open up just in the nick of time. So, they had very little corporate sponsors throwing stuff at crowds in parades. Instead, they had a walk from DuPont to Freedom Plaza and a lot of people commenting on how much they loved that lower key atmosphere (not to mention finally being in a spread out crowd feeling social again!)

I think that D.C. parade sounds like a little bit of awesome. Happy Pride, even in the desert, even isolated, because you are part of PRIDE NATION! =)
