Well first, I like werewolves, draculas and witches – always have, always will, so it’s natural I like Halloween. I love the idea that one night of the year you get to be someone or something else… as far removed from yourself as it can be. There’s no pressure for feasts and gifts… and there’s the best reason of all VINCENT PRICE
I love your answer. =)
Because I have so many great memories of my father, Christmas would have to be my favorite holiday. Without a doubt he was a true elf. He reveled in the Christmas season and went out of his way to make it perfect for his three sons. Even though he left us much too soon, not a Christmas goes by where my brothers and I don’t sit around reliving tales of yesteryear for a new generation. He really was Father Christmas for us.
That’s wonderful. =)
I have so many happy memories of waking up on Christmas morning, creeping to the foot of my bed and rummaging through the pillowcase full of presents, asking my brother if we could get up yet from 5am onwards, dragging said pillowcase through to my parents’ bedroom and being so excited that I physically trembled and couldn’t speak… Now (and I wrote about this in my own blog), I really value getting up early, making a pot of coffee and sitting in the light of the tree with Scruff, sharing his company and enjoying the peace before the madness begins. That is the best part of Christmas for me.
You have a beautiful life–a relationship and the family you’re a part of with him, your parents, friends, dogs, and your wonderful home. It makes me so happy for you.
