I can’t imagine a life without books, music, and dogs.
Well, like I have for last two years I will be spending my birthday Ben on tickets to the Met Opera Live in HD Broadcasts at the Art Museum. And thanks for the BD greetings! Because of the extremely 95+ temps Renee and I have been taking afternoon naps.
Has your heat abated at all? It’s been downright frigid here–in the eighties!

Well, I can certainly say what my favorite way to NOT spend $100: some idiot smashed my passenger window and stole my GPS. It was cleverly concealed inside a black pouch stuffed under the center column of a car with a black interior. That’s the deductible from the insurance who’s paying for a new window, a rental car and maybe help buy me a new GPS.
Around the corner, as I had the police at my car, someone comes running saying his car was also broken into and stole a telescope lens (for guns) and hearing protection (from guns). When the three of us got to his car, there was not broken window and there was a GPS on his passenger seat in plain view, wires everywhere, completely untouched by thieving hands. The police also said that morning that several other cars were broken into along the street where my apartment is.
Ugh. So sorry this happened to you.
