  1. First came allergies, then came Daffodilss. Thanks to the allergy shots, I notice yellow powder and don’t sufffer nearly as much as I used to. I still get them from those nasty hateful evergreens (they were not included in the shots). Side effects include sitting in a waiting room for half an hour after each shot for 4 or 5 years, unless you’re my brother. He reacted more often than I.

  2. I can’t resist. 🙂 It’s not my favorite sign, but the most telling sign is the mind-wiping sinus headaches I get in April/May as the trees once again mount their effort to kill me. They have yet to succeed. To quote Catwoman, “Four, five… still alive!”

But my favorite sign is probably thunder, because here in the Midwest spring means storms.

    1. We’ve had some earth-shaking, house-rattling, picture-moving storms most of this week into today with hail and a tornado warning. Fortunately, that storm weakened, but the radar tracked it rather well. About this time last year we had a hail storm tha resulted in nearly every single home getting a new roof throughout the summer and fall.

As for the weather-changer headaches, uuugggghhhh, I wanna go back to bed 🙁 .

  3. When David puts on his gardening clothes and tends to the yard! It is a sight to see–colorful and green!

  4. Itchy eyes, the Bermuda of my yard finally moving from brown to green, the crack of the bat, the “pop” of the ball in the glove, the taste of freshly roasted hotdogs, the aroma of toasted peanuts, and the odor of linseed oil-soaked leather on the baseball glove – ahh! Spring!

  5. longer days… planting… getting my hands in the dirt… blooming things… things that are greening up, awakening…open windows… no air conditioner…

i am blessed to not suffer with allergies – sorry for all of you that do and can not fully enjoy the beauty of Spring and the outdoors…
