  1. My Mom collects rocks, lots of rocks, from wherever she goes. I used to as well, and I even had the Audubon book. I collect vinyl and CDs. I’m a big Doctor Who nerd, with very nearly all of the released DVDs, a few T-Shirts, a police box hat, and a tea set (featured in the 30 days of creativity (what ever happened to 30 days of creativity?)).

    1. Doctor Who is in my future at some point. I’ve never watched it. Also, I don’t know what happened to 30 Days–it just stopped a couple of years ago, didn’t it?

    1. I just found some stamps tonight that I’ve been looking for for years. Nothing rare or special, just in an amount that would have come in handy from time to time!

      Dust–ha ha! I hear ya.

  2. When I was a kid, I seriously collected sugar packets. Back then packet covers were used to display product advertising, businesses, place logos, pretty pictures of all kinds, and the list goes on. Whenever anyone went anywhere, they had a standing order to bring back sugar packets for me. I amassed quite a variety and we would joke that if ever there were another Big Depression, I was all set with sugar.
Eventually, fancy packets morphed to plain white “Domino” so the fun was lost. And from what I can remember, the collection gradually got lost as well.

    1. This sent me to Google images, of course, to see what I could see. I wondered if I’d remember such packets, but nothing looked familiar.

For me, it’s matchbooks. I’m constantly finding matchbooks tucked everywhere that I’ve saved. I have some of them in a frame that I started many years back, but I keep finding more. I think I need a bigger frame. =)

  3. What about your beautiful pigs?!?!?

i used to collect tins, carousel horses, dishes… in my effort to stop acquiring STUFF my “collecting” has transferred to plants…
