    1. Perhaps because it is page 126 of 250 pages and I just turned to it and paused to make sure I got a Button Sunday post done?

But if you want to see red, I promise to oblige you the next time you send me something to edit.

      1. The Grammar Police get overtime with me, and while I am not proud, it did send a few of their kiddies to college 🙂

  1. WHEN AN EDITOR’S DUTY IS TO BE DONE (to be done)
WHEN THE APOSTROPHES AND TENSES RUN AMOK (run amok)
AND THE GRAMMAR BECOMES GRIMMER AND UNDONE (and undone)
THE GRAMMAR POLICEMAN’S LOT IS NOT A HAPPY ONE (happy one)

With apologies to William Schwenk Gilbert.

    1. Maybe Marika will like your song. She has a thing for pirates.

Weirdly, instead of hearing Gilbert and Sullivan, I could only hear Stephen Rea (as Santiago) reciting something in Interview With the Vampire. The rhythm must be similar.

  2. Believe it or not, I don’t know anything about Gilbert and Sullivan, except for what I saw on The West Wing.
