After a particularly long and grueling day, with none of my arts/crafts supplies at hand, the best thing I could create was this hot chocolate (and its photo) that I’m enjoying while the world sleeps and I sit with my feet up and read email.
Sometimes, that’s enough.
HOT chocolate? is in cold there?
Nope. But this is one of the quick and easy ways for a non-milk drinker to get her calcium (it’s on my “you can have it” list). And it’s comforting.
Mmmmm…….that looks delicious!
It’s the simple things that make life so sweet.
On a different note:
I’ve given up dairy so I desperately need to find a non-dairy alternative hot chocolate.
There must surely be recipes for all the people who are lactose-intolerant or vegans. Do you drink soy milk?
I heart soy milk!
I haven’t looked for a recipe yet but mark my words, I will find one!
Please pardon my intrusion.
I am lactose intolerant and this is my favorite dairy-free hot chocolate recipe. I make mine with almond milk:

(There is a warning at the bottom of that page to consult your doctor before driinking it if you have heart troubles…and I do–so I asked my cardiologist about it who said it was fine for me to drink. Chocolate (and cocoa) contains caffeine and heart patients need to monitor their caffeine content very closely…hence the warning.)
🙂
That sounds pretty darn delicious!
I welcome your intrusion and thank you for the suggestion!
Thankfully I have no heart conditions. Sorry to hear you do.
Your cocoa looks delicious!
🙂
Now I want cocoa….
Last night a niece made me want bread sticks. That power of suggestion thing is strong!
