Nothing says Christmas like a North Pole sweatshop.
ROLL TIDE!
The Compound has become a crafts sweatshop this season.
I’d have glued myself to the table.
Good thing I don’t live in Houston anymore…
Like the icon!
Gingerbread. Mmmm…
One day, I shall attempt to make one. Probably when reindeer REALLY know how to fly.
What do you mean? Reindeer can’t fly?
Yes, Virginia, they can.
Whew. You scared me there for a minute.
All is well.
Greg, nice picture! Could you post it larger on your journal?
Aunt Nancy would love all those Santas.
Does she collect them?
Yes, ornaments, figurines, etc. She absolutely loves Santas. I add something to her collection every year. I get her a NOLA one from the Christmas shop on Decatur St every time I visit, too. My Christmas icon this years is one of her ornaments. I took a few different ones when we were at her house for Christmas Sunday.
I think you mentioned this before, but I forgot about it. My mother liked wooden Santas and wooden Santa ornaments, so I always tried to find her a good one every Christmas. I kept some of them, but I think I sent some to my siblings and the grandchildren. It’s hard to remember. I didn’t put out a lot of my Christmas stuff this year, so I’ve forgotten what all I have.
Oh, that pagoda picture!
The only thing it’s missing is my invented Yoko Ono doll.
Thanks for sharing – I love seeing shops vying with each other to see who can cram the most into one window!!
Windows
I must say, I really like the 3rd and 2nd to last ones. And they are all lovely!
