Apparently, for me, Halloween was all about the tricks. I tried for hours to upload my Halloween photo set to Flickr–a photo set I’ve been working on for several weeks just for the holiday, including costuming and setting–with help from Tom on enhancements to The Compound.
Belatedly, from our coven to yours:
Happy Halloween!
If you’re interested in a closer look at the models, including all twelve Birthstone Barbies, four horses, a banshee, and representations of Greg Herren, Famous Author Rob Byrnes, Timothy J. Lambert, and me–or as we affectionately call each other: Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death–the full set may be here, depending on the whims of Flickr and Live Journal.
Sorry for being late.
Becky – that pic is worth the wait! I love it!
Thanks, Marika. =)
oooh, creepy! (no corn?)
This kinda reminds me of a “Bridezilla” yard display I saw around town a week ago.
Bridezilla–now THAT’S scary.
barbies
spooky!
Re: barbies
Yay!
I agree with Marika. Worth the wait!
Thanks!
I had Glitter ‘N Glamour Pestilence when I was a little kid. No wait, I had Malibu Pestilence, now that I remember! And remember the Pestilence Camper? Ohhh, thanks for this, Becky!
(giggling)
I always wanted the Pestilence Corvette.
(You’re welcome. Thank YOU.)
That is soo cool!
Thanks!
I wish the innkeeper in Provincetown who created that tacky Barbie fountain could see this. THIS is a theme, sir!
Woohoo! I saw that photo just the other day–and thought of it again when I was shooting in the cemetery. Where, btw, I was DEVOURED not by zombies, but by mosquitoes.
That is a great picture!
(What, no names for the horses? How do you remember all of the doll’s names?)
I was reluctant to name the horses. I just know they go along with Pestilence, Death, War, and Famine. (Silly memory: My nephew Daniel got a rocking horse one Christmas when he was a toddler. Everyone was trying to give him great horse names for it, and he didn’t like any of them. I said, “Fido,” and he lit up and named it that. I LOVE that child–though he’s kind of caught up with me in age now.)
I remember these dolls’ names by their birth months. Many of them are named for people whose birthdays are in those months or with names connected to them. If the dolls’ necklaces come off, I’ll be lost.
As far as my Top Models, in my head, they all have certain personalities that fit their names, but I do tend to get Maggie and Jessica mixed up.
All my nieces–from both Tom’s and my sides of the family–have given their names now to either the models or the birthstones. That helps, too.
That is a great picture!
And thanks!
Reminds me of Full Moon at my old dorm!!!
Did you like living in a dorm? I did, although my dorm was HUGE.
It was literally a haunted house — a building from the 1880’s with a ghost!
She lived in the attic!
EEK! Did you ever see her?
