Friday’s Five Fun Dog Moments

1. Caught Dexter and Rex watching Desperate Housewives.
2. Dexter dragged plastic plates out of the recycle bag and played with them all over the house.
3. Rex hasn’t moved for the last four hours. (Dexter is away for a potential-home visit; Tim is also away.)
4. Margot didn’t snarl at any other dogs today. Also: no emo poetry.
5. Guinness ate two dill pickle slices meant for Rex. Hoping Rex doesn’t contact his attorney.

      1. No, I can’t.
Peaches brings so much joy to the household – each dog that I’ve had has brought such happiness.

I always love reading your dog entries and seeing Tim’s Tuesdays with Rex posts always make me happy, too – because the love that you both have for dogs is so evident.

I cannot imagine not having a dog in the household… they are so much a part of our household – and our family.

    1. On the occasions when Tim leaves them crated, he keeps the TV on for them. Usually when I go over to uncrate them, they’re watching CNN. It cracked me up that Desperate Housewives was on today.

  1. Pickles, huh? Renee decided she likes sauerkraut the other day. I was heating up some Nathan’s Fresh Kraut with my Schnuck’s Stadium Hot Dog for lunch the other day and she started walking around the kitchen sniffing with her nose in the air. After ten minutes of whine-whimper followed by sad puppy eyes, I yielded and took a fork-full of cold kraut out of the jar and put it into food bowl. After a sniff-sniff and a tentative lick the kraut vanished. Thank god she doesn’t know anything about hot dogs yet.
Then I started worrying and went on line to see if it was a forbidden food. Since it is only fermented cabbage … no problem.

    1. She’s so cute.

Sometimes I’ve thrown cabbage leaves into the veggie blend I do for the Compound hounds. I figured the worst effect might be gas.

I really think you should give Renee a hot dog with her sauerkraut. Be sure and tell her it’s not really dog. πŸ˜‰
