Because Mark needs a Saturday smile

I was so annoyed with myself for not getting the one where she’s wearing the black gown. I got this one, though. I can’t remember if I bought her myself or if someone bought her for me. She’s from Mattel, 1997.

There was simply no one like the original and never will be.

    1. Yeah, there are some dolls that transcend our self-imposed limitations, and she’s definitely one of them.

I vowed not to buy any more dolls and broke the rule for Harley Ken. There are two more dolls out there that I’d love to have (but that’s my secret, or else someone would spend too much money buying them for me because I have such generous friends).

One day, however, those dolls will be mine (evil laugh).

  1. Pink Princess! Good old Givenchy.

I like the black gown one, too. It comes with a coffee cup. Hard not to think of Ken in It Had To Be You, when I think about that movie.

I was re-reading the first chapter of that book, day before yesterday, wanting to spend time with Ken, again.

    1. I recall being blown away by that one – and being a little shocked at how much I loved the movie after (as normally, when major changes happen from book-to-film, I get annoyed). They’re just both so wonderful that I enjoyed ’em both. Almost as separate entities.
