Today, March 4, is my mother’s birthday, so last night, Tom and I took her out to dinner. She was happy to pose with this rose we gave her.
She was even happier to pose with our cute and wonderfully polite waiter, Bryce, who, when he couldn’t find a candle for her decadent dessert of chocolate, flicked his Bic for her while he sang “Happy Birthday.”
Gosh, I feel like it’s someone else’s birthday…. OH, of course. Our agent, Alison. Happy birthday, Alison!

This is among my favorite photos I ever took of Timmy–and there are thousands, just ask any of my victimsfriends and writing partners. I believe this was taken in Houston in early 2000. I do know exactly who Timmy was looking at when I took the photo. =)
