It’s possible that I should have waited a few hours before I took a self-portrait for Photo Friday.
Tim colors my hair. Mostly my roots. Because when you’ve been 35 a few times, honestly, you do occasionally get a gray hair or two. My natural hair color is brunette with red highlights. Both Tim and our fabulous hairdresser Larry tend to take me lighter with red and blond highlights. This is what experts say women are supposed to do when they get, well, thirty-five and beyond. Go lighter. But Tim knows that I’ve been kind of wishing to go darker.
He didn’t tell me he was going to make my wish come true. Friday, after he colored my roots, he pulled the color through to the ends of my hair. That’s not unusual. Sometimes he does that to perk up my natural haircolor. So it wasn’t until later, when I was out of the shower and drying, that I began to grin from ear to ear at the DARKNESS.
This, then, is the answer to Steve’s question, “How does The Compound work?” Trust that is deserved.
pffft! i laugh in the face of lighterness!
i think the dark looks terrific!
Thank you.
I like it!
Thank you, too!
Jeez, I hope I never go gray. 😉
It looks terrific!
If my hair would be the color of yours, I wouldn’t mind. But it just gets dull and somewhat gray and icky.
Thank you!
WOW it looks amazing. I love that color. I think it suits you. Kind of Demi Moore with Angelina Jolie, like in between their colors.
Yeah, I want a picture of you with that hair in the scarf Lisa made you again, to really compare.
When I go out in the cold again, I’ll take a photo.
Meanwhile, thanks!
You wuthering Bronte. You look great!
You sure know how to turn a literary compliment.
Thanks!
Fabulous, Becky!

Thanks, Gary. =)
It looks wonderful. The dark looks good on you.
Thank you, Deb. =)
What a rich color! And, thanks for the answer. That one sentence says it all. I asked the question because I have yet to make it work out well. When I live too closely with friends who I also work, things get much too tense. I’m glad to see that you have made it work out so brilliantly.
I believe some of it’s just dumb luck. And of course, I don’t make it work alone.
Thanks for all your kind words. =)
You look awesome as a brunette!
Thank you, Rhonda!
