Lynne tells me this van is just advertising, but I prefer to think that people on the go in Houston can just get their divorces on the side of the road and move on.
I saw this car at the grocery store on National Coming Out Day. It made me think of one of my very favorite Molly Ivins stories about the Texas town of Midland:
Last year I asked the ACLU board member from Midland if they were having any trouble with gay-bashing out there. She said, “Oh, hell, honey, there’s not a gay in Midland who will come out of the closet for fear people will think they’re Democrats.”
