First, I would prefer a place in the past
Second, I’d go to a beach, in the summer in Sydney, Australia where I can turn stranded into vacation, or London
Sounds lovely.
I am going to go out on a limb and say you have never seen Secret Window, starring my one time dreamboat Mr Johnny Depp ( we are having some issues right now ) I would be stranded in the cabin that serves as his home. If there were wifi and cable, I’d live there permanently. I think I might need a freezer too … if the winter got to be too much and I couldn’t make it to town.

I have seen parts of it. Then I freaked out and stopped. I don’t need to know the rest of what happens. But I do know the cabin.
Honestly? As long as there was plenty of everything we need on hand, I’m going to pick my own home with Peter and the kittens. Boring but true. 🙂
I think it’s lovely–I’m inclined to feel the same way.
In the mountains Smokies or Blue Ridge in the fall with my big dog Harley. Just to wander the hills.

The front room on the second floor of a small guest house in Amsterdam that overlooks one of the canals where I vacationed about 25 years ago.
This sounds like it should be in a story.
I imagine a comfy hotel — a big towering one — and my room looks over a sea that is swimming-pool blue. Instead of facing a television, the bed faces the floor to ceiling windows, allowing me to be both lazy and dazzled by the scenery. Of course, somehow, the bed is recessed enough or there’s some magical tinting so I’m never bothered by the sun’s glare. I have a pad of paper and a bunch of pens. There’s a tasty restaurant downstairs. Late afternoon breezes are good for walks along the beach. I sleep very well.
I’m ready for a vacation now. =)
