I was sitting here talking to Tim about Rex. Started crying and couldn’t stop. After I got okay, Tim left, and I opened my mail to see today’s Photo Friday theme. When I was going through photos the other day to send a few to Hanley Inc. for a collage they made of Rex for Tim, I found this one. I think it shows what a truly fine dog Rex was: handsome, alert, and healthy.

    1. Probably so. Rex was a good buddy to almost every foster dog who came through here. The only time he was reserved was when the other dog didn’t want to be friends. He had a good soul.

  1. he was a very fine dog — generous with his heart, energy and spirit … and even though I never met him, I miss him. Thanks to the compounders and especially to Tim for sharing him with me. I feel like all his friends, whether he met them or not have a new guardian

  2. I didn’t realise Rex was eleven. Pip was eleven when he gamboled off to the Elysian Fields. I expect Pip will have shown Rex the ropes by now.
