I’ve lived here since 1989, and I never tire of this skyline. Looking at downtown Houston from my neighborhood.

Clearly Photo Friday’s themes are skewed toward places that have changes of season and not where I live. No lovely landscapes of snow and ice, no macros of frost on flowers. Even if I have photos like those from other places, my scanner has stopped working so I can’t use them.
This is a scene from last year’s Christmas season when Rhonda and Lindsey came over in their footie PJs to pose with Tom and Sugar and play games, watch movies, and drink Starbucks. I know Starbucks was involved because (1) it always is and (2) Rhonda has a green plastic Starbucks stick in her mouth.

This isn’t the photo I intended to use, and I will force myself not to go on a rant about the problems I’m having with Flickr in trying to upload, alter, and save the one I planned to use. Good enough.

Current Photo Friday theme: Autumn 2013
Fall in Houston looks exactly like summer in Houston. But I thought I’d go by the Houston Arboretum in Memorial Park in case they have any trees that change colors even before the temperatures drop. Of course, today is the one day the arboretum is closed, because tomorrow is the ArBOOretum Fall Festival.
So this is what I got–and what you get. Happy Autumn!
