October 1 begins Walk Your Dog Week.
And guess who got to walk home to their yard with its brand new fence after a week at Chez Lynne?
We are not amused
The Gallery finds the current state of dust and disorder at Houndstooth Hall completely unacceptable.
The Gallery may be in a box in a storage room soon. Let’s see how they like that.

The recliner and TV weren’t destroyed in the flood, so it must be destiny that Tom should get to watch TV again after nearly three weeks.
Madame Chairman
Every time I walk through this room I feel like I’ve called a meeting of chairs.
And one old rocking horse.

Do you remember…
Nearly a year ago I posted this photo of the bins on my carport:
And then in May, I finally started going through them and purging stuff:
Mother Nature was tired of my mess. I’m forced to go through them now, especially because some of them are full of water and the contents have been destroyed. But hey, THESE guys showed up in one of those bins, and they’re okay.
In the library, I also had a big wooden chest full of toys that Lila and Hanley used to play with when they came over. Those toys are okay.
But tons of “important” papers? A big soggy lump of wetness in the bottom of my filing cabinet.
Lesson: playing is better than adulting.
Life in plastic…
…it’s fantastic.
The models were in a flooded closet but safe in their bin. No harm done. Now they’re in a nice, dry, temperature-controlled storage room until they can return home.
Please note the mid-century linoleum that was under my flooring. I think we had that crap in our kitchen when I was junior high school.

We’re not going to talk about this yet.

Everything after Harvey is a blur, honestly. This is what I call “The Alley,” a narrow area behind Tim’s and Debby’s apartments. You can see the water line of about 18 inches on the back wall. I can’t wait until all these reminders are cleaned up.
