Thanks to Jim for this button.

It’s getting to the point that I’m not sure which of my own personal buttons I’ve shared here. I think there have been over 300 Button Sunday posts. But this is a typical illustration of Garfield, unlike my big eighty-five cent purchase from an antique mall today of maniacally happy little Garfields. I’m not sure I trust him when he’s smiling.
In honor of this weekend’s Supermoon.
It’s so good someone can get good shots of the moon. No matter the camera settings, here’s how mine always turn out.
This goes out to all of you who have been fathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, adoptive fathers, fathers-in-law, and fathers of the heart. It takes more than DNA to be a dad, and you’re rock stars to somebody.
This is a button that I found among my mother’s things after she died, although I’m sure I don’t know why she had it. 😉
Yesterday, June 1, was the fifth anniversary of Mother’s death. I remember in those first few days after she died, my siblings and I joked that Debby was now “the matriarch.” Last week, when a family member had a health crisis, I texted her and said, “I’m freaking out. Are you freaking out? Should I stop freaking out?” Debby responded, “Stop freaking out. And stop reading the Internet.”
I do look to Debby to be the wise and calm one. I’m lucky to have her and all the strong women in my life. They build me up, sustain me, cry and laugh with me. The strong men are pretty cool, too. I’m glad so many of you had kids to train you.
Grabbed a couple of buttons when Tim and I were out running errands the other day in honor of the new Star Trek movie being released this past week. Live long and prosper. =)
Also, if you haven’t seen the long version of the “Spock” Audi commercial, it’s been one of my favorite things. Thanks, Tim, for the link.
