Five Easy Pieces
Tom and I got takeout tonight from our favorite Greek restaurant. Some pita bread came with our hummus. What we didn’t eat I broke into pieces for Margot, Guinness, Pixie, Penny, and Pollock. Lucky dogs.
Who goes there? Please leave comments so (An Aries Knows)!

Watching the new Jenny Lewis video, “Just One of the Guys.” Loving it.
No one is surprised.
Now if I only don’t get in trouble for photographing my monitor…
Sunflower candle.
It was Monday from start to finish. I’m sure the fact that I don’t feel well affects my perspective, but today has sorely tested my good will and my good efforts.
What makes me happy is this silly bin of freshly laundered dog toys ready for the next transport. They may look a bit bedraggled but that’s because they’ve been greatly loved. Every dog gets a toy to travel with. S/He can play with it, bite it, or snuggle with it, but it’s hers or his for the journey (and sometimes when the toys are sent by their Houston fosters, they go with the dogs to their Colorado foster and forever homes). Occasionally they’re too loved and they have to be retired, but there are always fresh toys provided by donors.
Sometimes when we’re getting everything we need on a journey, it’s also good to have a reminder to play.
When I have a migraine, everyone at The Compound finds quiet things to do. That helps.
When I have a migraine (today), pretty much the only thing that can make me happy is my bed in a cool, dark room.
I don’t mind spiders as long as they’re outside. I like their webs. And it makes me happy to have a camera that can photograph cobwebs–even abandoned ones.
This is one of my favorite business names in Houston. I smile whenever I drive by it.
New bandanas. Trust me, these make me happy. In spite of one of them being appropriate for a dog, they’re actually for me. =)
I made it to Day 20 before I resorted to a food post! Here are the sides for our Tex-Mex tonight: cheese, sour cream, chiles, onions, black olives, tomatoes, and lettuce to go in beef and/or bean burritos, or to become part of nachos or taco salad along with chips and queso, and Mexican rice. Hungry?
You will note the absence of jalapeƱos. I can’t take the heat.
