Do you remember when you were a “newbie?” My first time on the Internet was at work in 1996. I first connected to the Internet through my own account in July of 1997.

Birthday wishes
Happy birthday, Shawn, at Everything and Nothing. I know it’s been quite a year for you, but one thing I can say about Katrina. It brought me to your blog, and it’s been a pleasure seeing inside your head for the past few months, as well as enjoying your photos.
I hope you have a great birthday. You share it with my brother-in-law.
Solitary confinement
Candles are lit. Aromas of Wyndmere’s “Refreshing” and “Mentally Sharp” essential oil blends are wafting from the fountain. Music is playing. Tim is in his apartment, painting, and dogs and Tom are snoozing.
After two hours, I have two new paragraphs. ARGH. I will finish this chapter before I close my eyes tonight. I know so much of what comes next, but I’ve struggled to get there. It’s very different writing alone. If this were a TJB novel, or a Lambert & Cochrane collaboration, I could talk it out with Tim or Jim (or Timmy, in days of yore).
I know that sooner or later, everything will start clicking. But I’m an Aries, so I want it to be sooner.

When will I learn?
There’s nothing like spending more than an hour writing a heartfelt e-mail to someone you know only through Live Journal that you don’t want to post, and then having it vanish as you hit SEND.
I hate Netfirms mail. Why do I always forget that it times out and won’t let me go back to what I was working on? WHY?
You can probably guess the tune
Two dogs in motion
One dog a’leaping
Because Tim’s coming in the back door.
Whew!
To answer that burning question that was provoked by Rio, according to Wikipedia:
Connie Chung’s last public appearance was as a guest on The View in 2005.
MSNBC announced in November, 2005, that Chung will host a currently untitled weekend news show on the network with Povich. The show will premiere January 7, 2006, with replays of each show airing throughout the weekend, and will feature a variety of topics and guests.
Now where the heck is sometime LJ commenter Perfectly Frank? Can Wikipedia tell me that?
