Return to Green Acres

Tim, Rex, and I have returned to Green Acres to house- and dog-sit. It’s also a bit of a writers’ retreat for us because we’re coming up on the deadline for submitting the TJB5 manuscript.

However, the dogs are not thrilled about the attention we’re giving our laptops. I’ve taken photos, and I’M not thrilled because I have no decent photo software on my laptop. So I just let Kodak turn everything into drawings for your viewing pleasure.

Even though handsome Seig doesn’t live at Green Acres, he’s spending the weekend here. He’s had to be separated from his little sister Sue because he’s having…boundary issues. He’s being a little TOO affectionate. He’ll be getting some surgery on Thursday that should nip that, so to speak.

Seig is teaching Rex what it’s like to be on the receiving end of head-bonking. Too bad Margot and Guinness aren’t here to see that.

Rex goes in for a stealth head-bonk.

Meanwhile, Dowager Doberman Greta and Sparky continue to be all about the belly.

I’ve been able to finish revising a chapter (and am keeping myself busy with this so I won’t bother Tim, who’s writing furiously on the other side of the table), BECAUSE…

The little prince is on my pillow.

Seig has fit himself onto a small rug.

The Dowager is in her hideaway.

While Rex dreams of his next ride in the car.
