It’s funny how I know nothing about the shows these lines and words come from. Probably best they have no associations for me.
It’s a very southern show, Whedon sites the confederacy loss as part of the inspiration. I do kinda want you to watch it – but part of me knows that it might not be for you and it would kill me for you not to love my favorite show. So I am happy with you not watching.
